About Capt. Kyle 2026-01-08T18:28:23+00:00

Capt. Kyle Giampaoli, owner of Epick Travel and Tarpon Daze Charters , leads anglers to unforgettable fishing experiences in Florida, the Bay Islands of Honduras, and the premier fly‑fishing waters of Epick Ranch in Southwest Montana.

Capt. Kyle Giampaoli’s story starts far from the tropics—high in the mountains of Lake Tahoe, where he first learned the rhythm of guiding anglers in the early ’90s. Those cold, clear waters shaped his instincts and taught him how to read a river long before GPS and satellite imagery ever entered the fishing world.

Curiosity pulled him north to Dillon, Montana, where he spent years guiding on legendary blue‑ribbon trout streams. The Beaverhead River became his second home—a place where he learned every bend, every hatch, every subtle shift in the current. Those Montana seasons built the foundation for what would eventually become Epick Ranch, his own fly‑fishing retreat in the heart of Southwest Montana.

But another pull kept calling him south. After countless trips to Florida, the salt finally got into his blood. Kyle traded mountains for mangroves and made Naples his permanent home, guiding full‑time for tarpon, redfish, and snook in the shallow backwaters of Naples, Marco Island, and the Florida Everglades.

As his guiding career grew, so did his desire to share more of the world with anglers. That’s when Epick Travel was born. Today, Kyle not only guides in Florida but also manages fishing tours and travel for adventure‑driven anglers—whether it’s chasing multiple species across the Bay Islands of Honduras on a fully mobile three‑island trip, or settling into the quiet beauty of Epick Ranch for classic Montana dry‑fly fishing.

From mountain trout to saltwater giants, from remote Caribbean flats to the rivers of Southwest Montana, Capt. Kyle’s life has been shaped by water, wild places, and the anglers who chase them. And through Epick Travel, he brings those stories—and those adventures—to anyone ready to experience them.
